Plástico Brasil 2025 confirms attractions focused on innovation and sustainability for the sector

The fourth edition of Plástico Brasil 2025, the largest trade fair for solutions for the plastics industry in Latin America, will be held from March 24 to 28 at São Paulo Expo. The event, which is an initiative of ABIMAQ and ABIPLAST (Brazilian Plastics Industry Association), will bring a series of innovations that combine technology and sustainability, with emphasis on new projects, machinery modernization, raw materials, circular economy and recycling. These initiatives will have even greater visibility at this industry meeting, consolidated as the great stage for trends, services and products, presenting more efficient and environmentally responsible solutions, promoting significant impacts throughout the plastics chain.

Plástico Brasil has established itself as the main showcase for the sector, bringing together major national and international players. With each edition, we see the fair grow, reflecting the innovation and technological advancement of the plastics industry,” highlights Gino Paulucci Junior, chairman of the board of directors of ABIMAQ,

Amilton Mainard, president of CSMAIP – ABIMAQ’s Sector Chamber of Machinery and Accessories for the Plastics Industry, highlights the importance of the fair: “This event is a milestone for the entire plastics production chain, being a strategic moment for the launch of new technologies and the generation of business that boost the sector’s competitiveness.”

José Ricardo Roriz Coelho, president of ABIPLAST, highlights the importance of Plástico Brasil as a strategic space for debate on innovation and sustainability in the sector. “Abiplast is confident in the union of the chain to promote this edition of Plástico Brasil. I am certain that it will be a space for our associates to see the solutions available in the chain, from petrochemicals, through design, molds, additives, machinery, peripherals, production solutions, to recycling and transformation. With the advancement of technologies and new sustainable practices, we reinforce our commitment to transform the plastics industry into an increasingly modern sector, aligned with environmental and market demands.”

Plástico Brasil 2025 is a meeting of professionals, national and international companies that operate in the plastics transformation sector and our purpose is to create an environment conducive to establishing connections that add value, as well as generating relevant business to boost this ecosystem. It is with this vision that we built the entire program and thought about the event’s attractions”, explains Liliane Bortoluci, director of Informa Markets, organizer and promoter of the event.

Attractions focused on innovation

Plástico Brasil 2025 will feature several attractions focused on innovation, providing an immersion into the technological trends of the sector. The Parque de Ideias is a space dedicated to exclusive content, with lectures based on market research and presentations of innovative projects developed by prominent educational institutions, experienced professionals in the market and entities in the sector.

The Rapid Mold Change Workshop will demonstrate live SMED – Single Minute Exchange of Die (which, in free translation, means Rapid Mold Change), a methodology that reduces the setup time of injection machines to less than 10 minutes, promoting efficiency and automation in the production process.

In this edition, at the SMED attraction, we will have a partnership with SENAI – National Industrial Training Service, to hold the Rapid Mold Change Techniques workshop in this space, involving the concepts of SMED, providing a certificate of participation for everyone who experiences this practice.

The Mobile Nanotechnology School (SENAI) will also offer an interactive experience with cutting-edge scientific equipment, such as a scanning electron microscope and particle analyzer, allowing direct contact with advances in nanoscience applied to the plastics industry.

Initiatives focused on ESG and Recycling

For the first time, the fair will host a Circular Economy project developed by the Sou do Plástico Institute, in partnership with the Mairiporã State Technical School (ETEC), whose goal is to extend the useful life of plastic. The project consists of demonstrating an interactive recycling process that transforms plastic bottle caps into new products with greater added value, such as cell phone holders, using a mill and an injection molding machine adapted for this operation.

Another highlight will be the Recicla Plástico Brasil Project, an initiative aimed at strengthening the recycling chain, which promotes integration between companies, organizations and society. The proposal seeks to increase the circularity of plastic and encourage more sustainable practices throughout the production chain.

The event also promotes the Sustainable Monday initiative, which encourages responsible plastic consumption by proposing behavioral changes that aim to minimize environmental impacts. The action reinforces the importance of reuse and proper disposal, encouraging more conscious attitudes on the part of companies and consumers.

The partnership with the Tampinha Legal project continues this year with a greater presence at the fair, promoting the collection of plastic bottle caps for recycling, in addition to encouraging environmental awareness through presentations at the Parque de Ideias. The project allocates the funds raised to social causes, combining sustainability and positive impact on the community.

For the first time, we will be carrying out the Circular Bag Project, which will provide an educational experience for visitors, demonstrating how plastic can be a sustainable solution in the manufacture of recyclable bags, which will also be used in actions with exhibitors at the fair. The initiative highlights the benefits of recycling and the importance of using this material responsibly in everyday life.

Abinfer Business Center

We will have the 4th edition of ABINFER BUSINESS CENTER–ABC 2025, at Plástico Brasil, an event that includes the exhibition of tooling companies and suppliers of the tooling industry, providing an ideal environment for business and exchange of experiences in the sector.
