Techsil Releases Two New Low Halogen Adhesives for Electronics Producers

Techsil has announced the release of two new low halogen adhesives specifically developed to improve adhesive dispensing precision in the production of electronic components. According to the company, the two adhesives, Vitralit UD 8050 and Structalit 8838, encapsulate electronic components on printed circuit boards, and can provide better flow control and dispensing precision because of their viscosity. They prevent dust, moisture, dirt and solvents from entering the components and protect them from mechanical damage.

Vitralit UD 8050 is a fast-curing single component acrylic adhesive. It will be well-suited to the production of consumer electronics, and easy dispensing and quick curing under UV light will help producers to keep production lines efficient. A formulation that contains a fluorescent marker will help quality controllers to check components easily.

Structalit 8838 is a single component epoxy offering quick thermal curing, a low glass transition temperature, and excellent flexibility. It acted well in temperature and moisture tests, protecting the components without damaging their functioning.
